Our Distinguished Patron
Thomas Pakenham
We are delighted that Thomas Pakenham has agreed to be our first Patron. His knowledge and love of trees, particularly in Ireland, is legendary.
We are very grateful for his support for the Arboretum, especially the Annesley Walled Garden, over many years.
Thanks to funding from the National Lottery Heritage Fund and Newry Mourne and Down District Council, the Annesley Walled Garden has been beautifully restored.
Now we look to the future — planting new trees, engaging our community, and fundraising to safeguard the natural and built heritage for generations to come.

Restoration Projects
The Garden has recently been restored but two hundred year old heritage needs love and tender care and we will continue to support its restoration for future generations to enjoy.
