Location
Castlewellan Arboretum is nestled within the historic demesne of Castlewellan Forest Park in County Down, Northern Ireland. The Park is managed by Newry Mourne and Down District Council, who fund the day to day maintenance of the Park and Arboretum.
The Annesley Walled Garden is towards the right of the Castle (see map), and a good 15 minute walk uphill from the carpark. From the carpark - go to the Rangers hut and turn right along the tarmac road to the cross roads, turn left up the hill and then bare right.
Follow directions to Castlewellan - the turning to the Park is in the middle of the Town opposite the Market House.

March and October: 9am – 6pm November to February: 9am – 5pm

Accessibility
Accessible parking, toilets and flat trails available in the Park. Ask staff for advice.
The Annesley Walled Garden is on a slope and there are steps up to the herbaceous borders, but there is a platform lift to the terrace where there are toilets.
